Key Activities - Developing formal standards

The collective voice of EEMUA brings members’ views directly into over 60 international, national and regional engineering-related standards committees including ISO, IEC, CEN and BSI.

Examples of key activities:

• EEMUA's representative is the convenor of the WG2 technical standards group of the IECEx.
• The chairman of EEMUA’s inspection and non-destructive testing committee is actively involved in developing a new standard with CEN on ultrasonic time of flight diffraction technique as a method for defect detection and sizing.
