How EEMUA can influence outcomes

Reputation

EEMUA is an established industry Association with an international reputation in engineering, technology and the management of capital assets, typically chemical process plants, refineries, power stations and upstream oil/gas facilities. Our member companies are the owners and operators of these capital assets - the users of engineering equipment and materials.

Recognition

EEMUA has developed industry guidance, user standards and specifications for the management of technology and to ensure development of competency in the workforce. Its publications and views are now recognised and followed worldwide.

Relationships

For more than 50 years, EEMUA members have built and maintained relationships with government, regulatory agencies, equipment manufacturers and suppliers, formal standards organisations, the plant inspection and insurance sectors, and many other bodies in the UK, Europe and worldwide. Through ECUI particularly, we have built good working relationships with the European Commission. Through such relationships, the Association's members continue to present the users' view, and influence proposed legislation, the interpretation of new legislation, industry practices, and the development of standards that affect safety, efficiency and effectiveness in the management of capital assets. New members are most welcome to join EEMUA, and help the users' voice be heard on these and other issues.
