EEMUA Statement on Coronavirus Covid-19

EEMUA is monitoring the global development of Coronavirus (Covid 19) and is following public health and Government advice in relation to staff welfare, business continuity and how the virus may affect EEMUA and its Members.

The goal for EEMUA is to continue its mission of enabling engineers worldwide to share experiences, learn, and solve problems, whilst considering the safety of everyone involved.

This will be aided by our investments in online learning and communication systems.

  • EEMUA has taken the decision that all events and training in 2021 will be online, and will aim to re-introduce face to face gatherings into our schedule in 2022, if the situation allows it. We hope that this will prove to be over cautious, but believe it allows our stakeholders to plan their attendance with certainty.
  • The Mechanical Integrity Practitioner Certificate (MIPC®), as an online course, will be unaffected, as are the suite of e-learning modules.
  • All EEMUA technical committees, forums and working groups for the foreseeable future will be online. The Technical Executives can give further details if required.
  • Details for our online events, including how to book, are posted in the Calendar.
  • We have developed live online formats for all our classroom courses, and this will be the preferred format until the end of 2021. Booking is avaliable through the website. If in doubt, please check with the office.
  • Downloadable digital pdf versions of all EEMUA publications are available from the EEMUA e-shop - these are provided free of charge for EEMUA corporate members via the Knowledge Centre. We are able to supply EEMUA 186 as hard copy.
  • The above measures will be in place until the end of 2021, with a phased return to face to face events in 2022. We will continue to run some events and courses online. The calendar will state this. Please check with us if unsure.
  • The EEMUA contact details remain the same. We will still ensure your enquiries are routed to the most appropriate person to answer them. Internally we have policies and technology in place to cover this, and ensure the safety of our staff and their loved ones to the best of our ability.
