EEMUA's chief executive, Clive Tayler, has given notice and will be leaving the Association later in 2014, on a date to be confirmed, with the full support of the Board.

A succession management process has been initiated: further information to follow. Meanwhile, Clive continues as chief executive and as a member of The Board, and in due course will assist with an orderly transition through the succession process.

EEMUA Chairman, John Whitfield, said: "The Board completely understands his reasons for stepping down and he has our full support. I along with other past Chairmen would like to take this opportunity to thank Clive for his commitment and dedication to EEMUA. He has built up and led the organisation to where it is today and leaves behind a resilient, robust and externally well respected organisation with an all-time record membership."
