EDF Energy has become the latest organisation to join EEMUA. A wholly-owned subsidiary of the EDF Group, EDF Energy is one of the UK's largest energy companies and its largest producer of low-carbon electricity.

EEMUA's chief executive, Clive Tayler, said it was great news that EDF Energy had decided to join EEMUA, and meant that the Association now had very strong representation across the power generation sector.

EDF Energy's Head of Engineering, Wolfgang Hahn, commented: "We have been aware for some time that other major power companies are already members of EEMUA, and that they do appreciate the information, networking opportunities and news updates that EEMUA provides. Those factors, plus the opportunities afforded through membership of EEMUA to influence standards and best practice, made a compelling case for us to join."

EEMUA is an international non-profit membership organisation that aims to improve the safety, environmental and operating performance of industrial facilities in the most cost-effective way, developing and promoting leadership in industrial asset management.
