Registration is open for the first EEMUA 159 TankInspector training and competency course, running on 2-5 March 2020 (near London). The course is based on EEMUA Publication 159: 'Above ground flat bottomed storage tanks – a guide to inspection, maintenance and repair'.

Attendees will gain a systematic understanding about the inspection requirements during various stages of tank service life.

The course covers key principles, output and limitations of inspection methods and techniques, together with the relationship between major damage mechanisms and different tank components. It should prove of interest to NDT Inspectors, Project Engineers, Project Co-ordinators, Trainee Inspectors, Operations Supervisors or similar and provides a bridging awareness between service and maintenance.

TankInspector does not provide the competence required for fitness for service assessment, for which a valid EEMUA 159 TankAssessor certificate is required – see the table of differences here.

Successfully completing the exam on the final morning of the new course will earn participants certification as EEMUA 159 TankInspectors.
