EEMUA 159 is a globally accepted user guide for inspecting and maintaining cylindrical, above ground, steel storage tanks. However, there are many other types of tank that do not fit this description, e.g. tanks on stilts, buried tanks, mounded tanks, plastic tanks, etc.
The EEMUA seminar on 1 December, Antwerp, Belgium, will consider the issues of operating these different tanks and how the current EEMUA publications can help in their inspection and maintenance. It will also investigate what alternatives exist that could help operators of these tanks.
