Event Details

With every improvement to technology comes a new set of problems:  “Beware of improvements!”.  The journey to Industry 4.0 is no exception.  New equipment offers new functionality and can tell you, often in great detail, exactly what it is doing.  That also extends to what happens when it all goes wrong:  new equipment means new - and more - alarms.  The equipment manufacturer cannot be expected to know which of them might be critical for a particular process plant but of course makes the reasonable assumption that the plant operator would wish to know if things seem not quite right.  Alarm prioritization according to an explicit alarm philosophy is a big job which is clearly essential and not something that you want to do on the fly in the middle of a plant emergency.

Speakers at this online seminar will include:
Dr Martin Hollender – ABB corporate research, Germany
Gyula Dörgő – University of Panonia, Hungary
Professor Jonathan Love – University of Lancaster, UK
Ruud Pikaar, Ergos Human Factors, Netherlands

Attendance is free of charge for delegates from EEMUA member and associate companies. For members and associates registering on the website for the first time, please note that there is an additional validation step. In this case, we recommend registering for the event only after the ‘Welcome to EEMUA’ communication has been received. This will ensure that once logged in you will have free entry to the event.

Limited spaces are available to delegates from higher education establishments, i.e. staff and full time students, at a reduced rate. All delegates from higher education establishments will be required to provide us with confirmation of their status accordingly, e.g. copy of student ID card, personnel ID card, etc.
