Storage and distribution play key parts in the overall process chains of industries such as petrochemicals and natural gas, but as a less dynamic activity, they can often be overlooked. Their potential economic and environmental impact should not be understated.
Meeting the challenge to keep these assets operating safely, efficiently and cost effectively is where EEMUA plays an important role. A simple but essential aspect of what we offer is to provide a platform that enables professional engineers, from across organisations, industrial sectors and countries, involved daily in operating, building and maintaining tanks, to share experiences and exchange ideas on noncommercial technical issues that genuinely help them to run their company’s storage assets more responsibly and to better effect.
EEMUA’s overall activity and publications in this area cover a wide range of topics from guidance on application of the Pressure Equipment Directive, to the design, specification, construction and eventual decommissioning of both metal and concrete storage tanks. EEMUA also addresses a number of areas of technical detail, such as tank roof design and preventing bottom leakage, to leak sealing of piping and tank demolition.
Attendance is free of charge for delegates from EEMUA member and associate companies. For members and associates registering on the website for the first time, please note that there is an additional validation step. In this case, we recommend registering for the event only after the ‘Welcome to EEMUA’ communication has been received. This will ensure that once logged in you will have free entry to the event.
Limited spaces are available to delegates from higher education establishments, i.e. staff and full time students, at a reduced rate. All delegates from higher education establishments will be required to provide us with confirmation of their status accordingly, e.g. copy of student ID card, personnel ID card, etc.
