Pressure Equipment Directive (PED). The PED is an EU directive that sets out the standards for the design and fabrication, as well as the administrative procedures for 'conformity assessment', of the pressure equipment generally over one litre in volume and having a maximum pressure of more than 0.5 bar gauge.
