Andreas Bauer of Waygate Technologies (a Baker Hughes business) has been confirmed as a speaker at EEMUA’s seminar “Updates on Inspection Technologies – Current and New Techniques” being held in Telford, UK, on 7 September 2022. The seminar will be addressing a variety of current and new NDE/NDT technologies available to help maintain the safety of equipment and assets and prolonging service life. Andreas’ presentation will describe a system which inspects the annular plate of flat bottom tanks utilising a guided wave technique to detect and quantify corrosion of the most critical zone. The same system can also identify and quantify corrosion under pipe support (CUPS).

He will be joining Mark Pedersen (Pixel Thermographics), who will be looking at corrosion under insulation (CUI) surveys using thermography, covering key considerations for thermography to work to detect CUI, equipment, practicalities, and example images, and David Roome (Inertia Consulting) whose presentation will address non-destructive testing methods that provide details on the condition of civil engineering structures and enable effective structural asset management.

The seminar will be of interest to all those involved in the specification, procurement, or execution of inspection services on industrial sites. It is co-located with BINDT at the Telford International Centre and EEMUA delegates will have the opportunity to visit the BINDT exhibition during the day.

The event is free to attend for EEMUA Members and Associates, and limited spaces at a reduced rate are available to staff and full-time students from higher education establishments.

There are also opportunities to exhibit at the EEMUA seminar, for those looking to connect with owners/operators and other service providers across all sectors.
