Measures on retesting and labelling announced in June 2022 will continue with amended timescales to reflect the extension.

The UK Government has today announced its intention to introduce legislation to continue recognition of the CE marking until 31 December 2024 for most goods being placed on the market or put into service in Great Britain.Measures on retesting and labelling announced in June 2022 will continue with amended timescales to reflect the extension.

EEMUA welcomes these new measures which remove short term uncertainty for end users as they adapt to the UKCA regime. We will continue to engage with the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) and other industry bodies on this topic. Two years is still within the planning cycle of our members and this must not be regarded as a “standstill” period.
