Engineering Leadership Seminar: Non-Engineering things every Engineering leader needs to know

Live Online Seminar

In the modern world engineering can no longer be purely technically focussed. This event brings together a carefully curated set of speakers to give an overview of critical issues that every engineering leader should care about. How to keep yourself out of jail, your staff at work, and your team performing well – breaking boundaries but not laws.

Whether you are an established leader looking to expand your knowledge, or new to a leadership role, and looking for some effective tools, this is an event you must not miss. With experts in law, organisational psychology, employee engagement and giant animated robot dinosaurs, it promises to be a very different EEMUA seminar.

Safety is just one of many aspects of work behaviour that is improved when psychological wellbeing is high but, even for well-intentioned managers, it can be hard to grasp the causes and consequences of psychological wellbeing in the workplace.
This presentation will cover three main areas:
•    the role of psychological well-being in physical health, individual performance and organizational outcomes, including safety behaviour - and why enhanced psychological wellbeing is win-win for individuals, managers and their organisations;
•    the factors that influence psychological wellbeing at work, including workplace stressors, personal factors, management and leadership;
•    interventions that can be used to protect and improve psychological wellbeing to help people have more good days at work.

Attendance is free of charge for delegates from EEMUA member and associate companies. For members and associates registering on the website for the first time, please note that there is an additional validation step. In this case, we recommend registering for the event only after the ‘Welcome to EEMUA’ communication has been received. This will ensure that once logged in you will have free entry to the event.

Limited spaces are available to delegates from higher education establishments, i.e. staff and full time students, at a reduced rate. All delegates from higher education establishments will be required to provide us with confirmation of their status accordingly, e.g. copy of student ID card, personnel ID card, etc.
