**Based on the NEW 5th edition of EEMUA Publication 159**

To enable participants to:

  • Understand the design and operation aspects of the use of storage tanks.
  • Understand and implement details inspection and maintenance plans, based on RBI and RCM methodologies
  • Make a sound selection between the various models for maintenance of storage tanks (time based, condition based or risk based)
  • Set budgets for inspection and maintenance tasks
  • Schedule maintenance tasks in a structured way, similar to that for shut-downs on capital equipment.

Before registering, please click here to check your eligibility for the course. Please note that you must have a valid Certificate of Competence for TankAssessor in order to be eligible to attend.

You will need to have all delegate and purchase order details with you as the system cannot save your entries if you exit or navigate away from the page. You must have a My EEMUA account to register online and you can register for one if you haven’t already done so, by following the same link. It is possible for you to register as many colleagues as you like at the same time, as long as they too have a My EEMUA account. Once the process is completed, you can manage your booking online via the My Events and Training section of My EEMUA.

Please be advised that prior consent from EEMUA must be obtained before you can register for the TankStrategies Assessment repeat short course and the Exam only modules. Any registrants for these modules who are not eligible to attend will be de-registered immediately. Click here for further information on each of the modules available.

Permanent employees from EEMUA member companies are entitled to a discount off the standard course fee. Training documentation, a complimentary copy of the current edition of EEMUA Publication 159 and accommodation with full board for the duration of the course is included in price. VAT is also included. On passing the end of course exam, you will achieve a Certificate of Competence in the risk-based approach to the management of storage tanks according to the EEMUA 159 User Guide.

Who should attend

Maintenance engineers, managers, inspection and other site personnel qualified to HNC level or above and with a minimum of eight years’ experience with storage tanks who require improvement in their understanding of and/or to become certified as competent in assessing the integrity of tank storage facilities, and to calculate and make operational recommendations at all stages of tank life.
